Known for its scenic beauty including views of Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley was the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. The resort features 29 lifts and 170 runs on 3600 acres of skiable terrain. While favored by expert skiers for having the most technically challenging runs in the Tahoe area, Squaw is also great for beginners (6 beginner lifts and 14 runs) and all skiers in between. There are also restaurants, bars, galleries, and a variety of shops in the village at the resort.

We have arranged for same day bus transportation (there and back) with Tahoe Ski Trips (TST) from San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland:

• 4:00am Bus departs from San Jose Park N Ride (1185 Lelong Street)
• 4:50am Bus pickup from San Francisco 16th St (1415 16th Street)
• 5:20am Bus pickup from Oakland Rockridge BART (5660 College Avenue)
• 8:00am Light continental breakfast before arriving at the resort
• 8:30am Arrival at Squaw Valley
• 11:30am Mid-day regroup at High Camp near the children's play area, lockers and restrooms (lunch is on your own but we'll meet up here)
• 3:30pm to 4:15pm Apres ski gathering is provided by TST and usually includes beer and wine, non-alcoholic drinks, various snacks, and some hot dishes such as chili, nachos, or soup
• 4:30pm Bus departs from Squaw Valley
• 7:30 pm-9:30pm Bus returns to the Bay Area, depending on road conditions

Cost is $79 round-trip, or $189 for bus plus adult lift ticket that includes an additional saving on the usual TST bus and discounted lift ticket price (Squaw Valley window price for lift pass alone is $169). Rental equipment and lesson discounts are also available.
You MUST purchase your ticket at the above TST link to be guaranteed a spot. You will be asked to create a TST registration profile before booking. Do not book on the TST public pages. Cancellations must be made at least 5 days in advance directly with TST.

We recommend wearing warm layers to the mountain along with waterproof snow pants, a waterproof jacket, and waterproof gloves or mittens. We also strongly advise wearing a helmet, ski goggles, and sunscreen. Skiers will need skis, ski boots, and ski poles. Snowboarders will need snowboard boots and a snowboard. We also recommend bringing snacks, a water bottle, and money to buy lunch at the resorts.
