11/13/20, 12:00pm — Virtual Salon: Status of Sexual Harassment in the Technology Industry

$0.00

Has anything changed since the MeToo movement of 2017? With Google recently having to pay over $300 million to settle sexual harassment lawsuits, and recent surveys revealing nearly half of women in tech are still experiencing sexual harassment -- perhaps not. Please join us for a thought provoking dialogue with our special guest Allyson Kapin, founder of Women Who Tech and the W Fund. Allyson will discuss the current status of sexual harassment in Silicon Valley and whether recent initiatives will reduce sexual harassment in the future.

Allyson has been named one of the “Most Influential Women in Tech” by Fast Company. As the founder of Women Who Tech, she launched the Women Startup Challenge to help women entrepreneurs raise capital. She has backed several women-led startups such as Glamsquad. Allyson is also the VC scout for Indie VC, the Co-Founder of Rad Campaign, and sits on the Board of Directors for the League of Women Voters.

This event will be held Friday November 13 from 12-1 PM PT via Zoom. Please register through the YCSV website here. Meeting information will be sent to your email before the event.
